MR. JAI NAGDA

Mr. Jai Nagda is the Chairman of the Vidyakunj International School Committee and the Secretary of the managing society, Pragya Foundation. With a Master’s degree in Mathematics, he chose journalism and photography as his profession. Proficient in both print and electronic media, he has been associated with leading news channels like Aaj Tak, national magazines like India Today, news agencies like UNI, and significant newspapers like Naidunia and Jansatta. His articles have been prominently published in many national journals, earning him numerous regional and national honors in journalism.

Hailing from the esteemed Nagda family of Khandwa, his grandfather Raichandji Nagda was the district's first freedom fighter. His father, Prafulla Nagda, was a renowned photographer, litterateur, and artist. Alongside his journalism career, Mr. Jai Nagda has deeply worked on environmental issues, collaborating with notable environmentalists like Anupam Mishra and Magsaysay Award winner, Waterman Rajendra Singh. His efforts to preserve traditional water resources have been nationally recognized. As a professional photographer, he has specialized in nature, lifestyle, and press photography, with his work featured in various national publications.

Over 33 years ago, with a vision to provide Khandwa’s new generation with an education that instills confidence on a global stage, he initiated the establishment of a good school in the city, followed by the founding of Vidyakunj International School. Here, he realizes the dream of balancing our traditional values with global technology through a dedicated team.

Beyond work

Mr. Nagda’s interests extend beyond journalism and photography to environmental conservation. He has made significant contributions to preserving traditional water sources, working with some of India’s leading environmentalists.
