Hitarth Aditya Jain from Vidyakunj Secures Third Runner-Up in UCMAS World Cup 2024
Hitarth Aditya Jain, a student of Vidyakunj International School, achieved the remarkable position of third runner-up in the UCMAS National and International Competition held in Delhi. Competing against over 6,000 selected students from 30 countries, Hitarth showcased his exceptional skills in this intense competition. Recognized as the world's largest Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition, it is popularly known as the UCMAS World Cup 2024. Hitarth was felicitated with this prestigious award by UCMAS Founder Professor Dr. Dino Wong and UCMAS India CEO Dr. Snehal Karia.
Sharing the details, Vidyakunj Director Mr. Jay Nagda highlighted that UCMAS is a unique methodology designed for solving mathematical problems with speed and accuracy. In this international competition, participants were required to solve 200 mathematical questions within just eight minutes. Eight-year-old Hitarth, a third-grade topper from Vidyakunj International School, participated in Level 2 of the competition and secured a position in the top five by accurately answering over 150 questions. The credit for his preparation goes to his mother, Mrs. Komal Jain, and Mrs. Moon Jain, who played a vital role in guiding him.
The international competition, held at North Campus, Delhi University, saw participation from over 6,000 students shortlisted from countries including Switzerland, Canada, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Iran, and Iraq, among others. The competition comprised exams across various levels for students aged 5 to 14 years.
